Does Porn Affect People’s Feelings About Their Sexual Organs?

Perceived flaws wound self-esteem, but are not related to porn viewing.

Does pornography affect how people view their genitals? Many men feel they're too small. Many women believe their inner lips (labia minora) look deformed. Why do they feel this way? Many pundits blame porn. Male actors are selected for huge endowments. Female performer are selected, in part, for inner lips that tuck neatly inside the outer. People see that they look different, and feel diminished. But a recent Swedish survey of 3,500 adults shows that porn has little, if anything to do with how people feel about their genitals. There are better explanations for genital dissatisfaction.
